A beautiful and functional new Conference Center awaits to host your school group or community organization. This 2,000 square foot facility will comfortably accommodate groups of up to 50 people for off-site instructional purposes or remote meetings, retreats and conferences. |
Conference Center: A modern heated/air conditioned facility with seating for 45-50 students, a small kitchenette, and 2 indoor bathrooms. Includes technology for a distance learning classroom and accommodates multi-media presentations including Internet connectivity.
Conference Center Lower-Level Classroom: Classroom facility with seating for 36 students and a large dry-erase classroom board for instruction. NOTE: Lower Level Classroom is accessed from outside and is not handicap accessible.
Stone House: Rustic, wood stove heated classroom with tables/benches seating 20-25. Includes flip charts and mobile chalkboard. Stuffed animals of multiple species add to the aesthetics. Outdoor pump and male/female outhouses are just outside the door along with a view of the quarry pond.
Ligon Lodge: Rustic classroom facility with fireplace and seating for 18-24. There is a view of the lake and direct access to Lake Boardwalk and Tree of Life Boardwalk. Includes two indoor bathrooms and kitchenette.
Main Pavilion & Fire Pit: Pavilion enclosed on two sides with picnic table seating for 60-70. Includes a large fireplace, fire pit and BBQ grill. Open flat space for camping and access to bathrooms at the Lodge.
Lake
Deck: Floating dock located on Lake Ligon. (Handicap access under construction.)
Lodge Deck: Located behind the lodge.
Camping Area: Pavilion with tables, campfire* circle and two picnic tables.
Esker Area: Pavilion with tables, campfire* circle and large meadow.
Meadow: Open field adjacent to the parking lot.
Lodge Campfire Circle: Large open area
with campfire* pit and benches.
East Campfire Area: Remote campfire* circles with benches.
Quarry Decks: One large and two small
decks that overlook the quarry.
Challenge Course: Our challenge course, or low ropes course, is a unique and fun teaching tool. The elements, which are made from wood, ropes and cables can be used to incorporate teamwork, cooperation, problem solving and increase self-esteem.
